Pune : Warasgaon Dam Filled Upto 100% Of Its Capacity, Water Discharge Starts With 600 Cusecs

Pune 2nd Sept 2023: As the city received a good rainfall today morning after a long dry spell, the citizens were greeted with another good news as Warasgaon Dam was also filled upto 100% of its capacity. The irrigation department has announced that water discharge from the dam has started with 600 Cusecs at 10 am on Saturday.

The officials have said that further decision on increase of discharge will be taken based on rainfall reported in the catchment areas. It may be noted that the collective water storage in the four dams of Khadakwasla cluster has reached 94.33% (27.50 TMC) compared to 99.72% (29.07 TMC) reported on the same day last year.

According to the official data shared by the irrigation department, Khadakwasla Dam has 53.78% (1.06 TMC) while Panshet Dam has 100% (10.65 TMC) storage, Warasgaon has 100% (12.82 TMC) and Temghar Dam has 80.03% (2.97 TMC) water.
