Pune: Wife Confesses to Killing Husband After Suffering Repeated Abuse
Gahunje, 4th June 2023: The murder case that shook the Gahunje area in Maval, Pune, has taken a dramatic turn as police investigations revealed that the wife of the deceased was responsible for the heinous act.
The Pimpri-Chinchwad police disclosed this startling information, stating that the wife confessed to killing her husband due to enduring repeated physical torture and beatings. Talegaon police station has detained the wife in connection with the case.
Initially, she had fabricated a story claiming that her husband was attacked by three to four unknown individuals armed with a sharp weapon. However, her deception was short-lived as the police quickly unraveled the truth.
According to police, Suraj Kalbhor, the young man who fell victim to the crime, was allegedly murdered by his wife. The incident, initially reported as an attack by unknown assailants, took a different turn within hours of investigation. The wife admitted to her involvement in the murder, as confirmed by police sources.
The sequence of events unfolded on Sunday when Suraj’s wife took him to Shirgaon for a pilgrimage to Pratishirdi. Afterward, they proceeded to their farm in Gahunje, where a minor argument erupted. In a sudden and unsuspecting act, the wife stabbed Suraj in the back.
The police have reported that the victim sustained severe injuries. It has been revealed that the wife had premeditated this crime meticulously. Suraj had a history of physically assaulting and abusing his wife, even resorting to strangulation. Fed up by the relentless torment, the wife made the drastic decision to end Suraj’s life.
The couple had entered into matrimony just a few months ago, celebrating their union with great fanfare. However, escalating conflicts between them seemed to have pushed the wife to take such a drastic step.
The police are continuing their investigation into the case, delving further into the circumstances leading up to the murder.
