Pune : Woman From Pimpri Chinchwad Duped on Pretext of Job at Indigo Airlines
Pimpri Chinchwad 18th Oct 2023: A 27-year-old woman from Navi Sangvi has lodged a complaint with the Pimpri Chinchwad Police against three people for allegedly duping her of Rs 18,619 on pretext of giving job with the Indigo Airline. The alleged fraud took place between July and October this year.
According to the complaint registered with police, the victim came in contact with three people identified as Zara Khan, Sneha and Prakash Singh. They offered to give her a job with Indigo Airlines and asked her to transfer money for various purposes as part of formality before joining the firm. The accused projected the fees as charges for the ID card, joining letter, uniform etc. However, when the victim realised that she had been duped by a group of fraudsters she approached police to lodge a complaint in the matter.
A case under sections 420 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with section 66(d) of the Information Technology Act has been registered at Navi Sangvi Police Station. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
