Pune: Woman Raped At Gunpoint In Talegaon

Pune, 10 August 2021: In a shocking incident, a woman was raped at gunpoint in the Talegaon area of the Pune district. The police have arrested two persons in this regard.

According to the police, the accused had given Rs one lakh as a loan to the victim. He then demanded sexual favour from the woman as interest on the loan. However, when she refused the demand, the accused threatened to kill her husband and child. He then raped her and filmed it on his mobile phone.

The main accused Kiran Ghare (40) and Deepak Oswal (46) have been arrested by the Talegaon police.

The police informed that the 26-year-old victim had taken a loan of Rs one lakh from Ghare. She paid the loan back with two cheques of Rs 50,000 back. However, Ghare demanded sexual favours from the victim in exchange for interest. When the victim refused his demand, Ghare was enraged and threatened to kill her husband and child. The accused raped her in a Fortuner car at gunpoint, as per the complaint filed by the woman.

The accused raped the victim several times at different places by blackmailing her while filming the rape on a mobile phone. The accused also told her that no one would do anything to him even if she went to the police.

The police have also arrested Deepak Oswal along with Ghare. Talegaon police are investigating the case further.
