Hinjawadi, 28th September 2023: A somber atmosphere envelops Hinjawadi as news of the tragic death of a local youth activist spread across the community. Yogesh Abhimanyu Sakhre, a 23-year-old resident and active member of the Hanuman Talim Mitra Mandal, died during the Ganesh Visarjan celebrations on Wednesday night.
The young activist was participating in the religious procession at Shivaji Chowk when he suddenly felt dizzy. Attempting to alleviate his discomfort, Yogesh went to a nearby pharmacy to purchase pills. Unfortunately, he collapsed at the shop, prompting immediate calls for medical aid.
Yogesh was swiftly taken to Ruby Hall Clinic in Hinjawadi, where his condition deteriorated rapidly. Despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his condition, marking an untimely demise that has shocked the community.
The Hinjawadi police have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of Yogesh’s death. It’s important to note that he had been dealing with high blood pressure for the last six months and had recently sought medical advice for a potential heart issue.
Witnesses, including friends of the deceased, confirmed that Yogesh was not engaging in strenuous activities or dancing near loudspeakers during the celebration. He complained of chest pain before being rushed to Ruby Hall Clinic, where he was later pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination is currently underway at the district hospital in Aundh, as both friends and authorities seek to understand the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
