Pune: Youth Cheated Of Rs 13 Lakh On Pretext Of Getting Admission In Foreign University

Pimpri, 16th July 2022: A youth got defrauded of Rs 13 lakh 25 thousand. He was cheated by saying that he will get admission to Algoma University in Canada. This incident took place between February 2021 and January 7, 2022, at Kharalwadi, Pimpri.

Deepak Ramdhiraj Yadav (31), a resident of Kharalwadi, Pimpri, a native of Nashik filed an FIR at Pimpri police station on Thursday (July 15) in this regard. Accordingly, a case has been registered against Mandeep Singh, a resident of Uttarakhand and Pankaj Agarwal, a resident of Kanpur.

According to the information given by the police, the accused conspired to get the complainant admitted to Algoma University in Canada. For that, the accused took Rs 13 lakh 25 thousand from the complainant but still did not get him admission to Algoma University.

They betrayed the complainant and cheated on him by not returning the money he had given. Pimpri police are investigating the matter further.
