Pune: Youth Stabbed To death By His Ex-Girlfriend’s Husband
Pune, 27th May 2022: Hadapsar police have arrested the accused who killed the son of a Amravati prison official with a sharp weapon. He has been remanded in police custody till May 30. The incident took place at around 10 pm on Tuesday (May 24) at the Gliding Center in Hadapsar.
Varsha Suresh Kamne alias Mahek Arman Sheikh (20), a resident of Kale Boratenagar, Hadapsar, Arbaaz alias Allauddin Sheikh (21), Bhaiyya alias Pradeep Ankush Chavan (20), Akash Jagannath Devkate (20), all are the residents of Madha, district Solapur; are the names of the arrested.

Giridhar Utreshwar Gaikwad (21), a resident of Gopalpatti Park, Sai Tower, Manjari is the name of the deceased youth. Giridhar’s brother Nikhil Kumar Gaikwad (27) had lodged a complaint at Hadapsar police station in the regard.
Giridhar’s father Uttareshwar Gaikwad is working as a prison officer in Amravati Central Jail. Giridhar was sitting at his house at 10 pm on Tuesday. At that moment, he got a call and he then started walking out of the house. At that time, after being asked by his brother, he said that he would return soon. His mother and brother were worried as he did not return home even after half an hour.
At the same time, his father informed them that Giridhar is no more. His family members and senior police inspector Arvind Gokule and other police officers rushed to the spot. They then took the body into custody and sent it to Sassoon Hospital for autopsy.
The girl and Giridhar were studying in the same college. At that time, the young woman had a love affair following with marriage with a young man in her class. After that, the closeness between a girl and Giridhar had increased which resulted into arguments between the girl and her husband. Meanwhile, on Tuesday night, the girl’s husband asked her to call Giridhar after drinking alcohol. Giridhar was later stabbed to death with a sharp weapon at the Gliding Center in Hadapsar.
