Pune Zilla Parishad Launches ‘Mission Kavachkundal’ Campaign To Vaccinate All Eligible People

Pune, 9th October 2021: The Department of Public Health and Family Welfare has ordered to complete the vaccination of citizens who have not yet been vaccinated in the district. Accordingly, ‘Mission Kavachkundal’ campaign has been launched in the Pune district.

 

Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Ayush Prasad has instructed to complete the vaccination of the citizens by conducting taluka wise, municipal and village wise surveys from 8th to 14th October.

 

The target is to vaccinate a total of 36 lakh 27 thousand 207 beneficiaries in rural areas. Of these, 28 lakh 79 thousand 674 beneficiaries have taken the first dose, while 12 lakh 83 thousand 165 citizens have taken both doses. There are still 7 lakh 47 thousand 533 beneficiaries of the first dose and 23 lakh 44 thousand 42 beneficiaries of the second dose in rural areas.

 

Those who have not taken the first and second doses will be vaccinated under this campaign. Under ‘Mission Kavachkundal’ campaign, ward wise and village wise review will be done in rural and municipal areas. For this, instructions have been given to planning according to the primary health centre.

 

Vaccination of all the beneficiaries will be completed by involving the members of Taluka Task Force Committee, people’s representatives, Gram Panchayat employees, Talathis, Gram Sevaks, Asha Swayamsevaks, Anganwadisevaks, Police Patils etc. in this campaign.

 

According to Chief Executive Officer Ayush Prasad, the campaign has been directed to be implemented between October 8 and 14 to complete the vaccination of the remaining beneficiaries in rural areas.
