Put Up Banners Thanking PM Modi For Starting Free Vaccine Process: UGC To Educational Institutions

New Delhi, 22nd June 2021: It is learnt that the University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked all universities, colleges and technical institutes to put up hoardings/banners thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing free vaccination for the age group of 18 years and above.

UGC has given hoarding/banner designs to universities in Hindi and English. These designs have been provided by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. In one of these designs, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being thanked for the government’s free vaccination campaign.

According to India Today, UGC has given instructions to universities, colleges and technical institutes. Sources said on Monday that in a WhatsApp message sent to officials of various universities on Sunday, UGC secretary Rajneesh Jain also asked the institutes to put banners on his internet media page. According to India Today, officials from three universities have confirmed receiving the instruction.

One such banner is already there on the UGC website. In which the poster with the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi reads, “Vaccines for all, free for all”. At the same time, it has been shown as the largest free vaccination campaign in the world. Senior UGC officials did not pick up the phone to discuss the matter and a spokesman for the education ministry declined to comment.
