Mumbai, 20th May 2022: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has postponed his Ayodhya visit scheduled for June 5. He says he will share more details on this at his rally in Pune on May 22.
Raj Thackeray was to visit Ayodhya on June 5. But, meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Uttar Pradesh Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh had demanded that the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief apologize for “humiliating” North Indians before coming to Ayodhya.
The BJP MP had said that he would not be allowed to enter Uttar Pradesh until Raj Thackeray publicly apologized. However, Raj Thackeray has not given information about the reasons behind postponing the Ayodhya Yatra.
In response to Raj Thackeray’s visit, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s son and minister Aaditya Thackeray was going to visit Ayodhya on June 10. However, Shiv Sena has not announced anything on this yet.
Raj Thackeray will hold a rally in Pune on May 22 and during this time he will give information related to his Ayodhya visit. Earlier in April, Raj Thackeray had given an ‘ultimatum’ to the Maharashtra government to remove loudspeakers from mosques, following which he received a threatening letter.
