Raksha Bandhan 2026: Pune Post Offices Launch ‘One Stop Rakhi Solution’ With Packing, Speed Post and Free International Home Pick-Up

Pune, 31st July 2026: Ahead of Raksha Bandhan, the Pune Postal Region has launched a special initiative, “One Stop Rakhi Solution,” enabling customers to send rakhis, gifts, sweets and greetings through a range of services available under one roof at post offices across the region.

The initiative aims to make the festival of Raksha Bandhan, which celebrates the bond of love, trust and affection between brothers and sisters, more convenient by offering secure packing, special Rakhi envelopes, Speed Post, parcel services and international shipping facilities. The services are designed to ensure the safe and timely delivery of rakhis and gifts to destinations across India and abroad.

Speaking about the initiative, Preeti Agrawal, Postmaster General, Pune Region, said Raksha Bandhan is more than a festival and represents the emotional bond between siblings. She said the “One Stop Rakhi Solution” allows customers to complete every step—from securely packing a rakhi to sending it safely to their loved ones—at their nearest post office.

Agrawal added that customers can also send gifts and sweets through India Post’s parcel service. For those sending rakhis overseas, Pune Postal Region has introduced a free home pick-up facility, allowing customers to send their consignments without visiting a post office. She appealed to citizens to take advantage of the services during the festive season.

Providing further details, Abhijeet Bansode, Director Postal Services, Pune Region, said India Post continues to play an important role in connecting people and strengthening relationships. He said the special Raksha Bandhan initiative has been introduced to make it easier for sisters to send rakhis to brothers living in India and overseas.

Bansode said the free home pick-up service for international Rakhi deliveries enables postal staff to collect rakhis directly from customers’ doorsteps, making the process more convenient. He expressed confidence that the initiative would receive an enthusiastic response from the public.

Pune Postal Region has urged citizens to visit their nearest post office and make use of the “One Stop Rakhi Solution” to ensure their rakhis, gifts and greetings reach their loved ones safely and on time. The free home pick-up facility is also available for customers sending rakhis and gifts abroad.
