Ramdara Temple to Remain Closed Till July 18 for Renovation of Sanctum Sanctorum
Loni Kalbhor, 17th June 2026: Devotees visiting the renowned Ramdara Shivalaya Temple near Loni Kalbhor will have to wait for a month as the temple administration has announced the temporary closure of the temple from June 18 to July 18, 2026, to undertake urgent repair and renovation work.
According to the temple trust, the decision has been taken to facilitate the smooth execution of restoration work and ensure the safety of devotees. During the one-month period, renovation of the temple’s sanctum sanctorum (garbhagriha) will be carried out, making it necessary to restrict public access to the premises.
The administration has clarified that devotees will not be allowed to enter the temple for darshan during the renovation period. In addition, all religious ceremonies, pujas, spiritual gatherings and festival celebrations within the temple complex have been suspended until the completion of the work.
Temple authorities have appealed to devotees not to travel to Ramdara Temple for darshan during this period and to avoid gathering at the site. The trust has requested devotees, followers and disciples to cooperate with the administration and adhere to the guidelines issued for the duration of the closure.
The decision has been taken under the guidance of Mahant Hemant Puri Maharaj, President of the Tirthkshetra Ramdara Shivalaya Trust. Temple officials stated that efforts are being made to complete the renovation work within the stipulated timeframe.
The trust has assured devotees that an official announcement regarding the reopening of the temple will be made after the completion of the restoration work. Meanwhile, the temple administration has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and sought the understanding and support of devotees.
