Recruitment for 3,717 Posts in Intelligence Bureau Announced; Application Process Begins July 19
New Delhi, 16th July 2025: The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced a large-scale recruitment drive in the Intelligence Bureau (IB), inviting applications for 3,717 posts of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO). A short notification regarding the recruitment has been released, and the online application process will commence from July 19, 2025, on the official website: mha.gov.in.

Unreserved (UR): 1,537 posts
Other Backward Classes (OBC): 946 posts
Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 442 posts
Scheduled Castes (SC): 566 posts
Scheduled Tribes (ST): 226 posts
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
Age Limit:
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 27 years
Age relaxation will be provided to candidates from reserved categories as per government norms. Age will be calculated as of August 1, 2025.
Application Fees:
General, OBC, EWS: ₹650
SC, ST, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD): ₹550
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected through a two-tier examination process:
Tier 1 Exam
Tier 2 Exam
Salary Structure:
Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 as per the pay matrix.
