Road Rage in Pune: Youth Beaten To Death For Not Giving Way

Mulshi, 9th May 2022: A shocking incident has taken place on Lavasa road in Mulshi taluka of Pune district. Three persons riding a bike have beaten two men riding a two-wheeler resulting in the death of one of them for not giving way.


A case of murder has been registered against three persons at Paud police station under Pune rural police in this regard.


The deceased has been identified as Subhash Vitthal Waghmare (38), resident of Tungi in Maval taluka of Pune district. His cousin Rajesh Ankush Kuwar (31), a native of Ratnagiri, who is residing in Lonavala, has lodged the complaint.


According to police, Kuwar and Waghmare were passing through Urvade to Lavasa road in Mulshi taluka. The accused were also riding a bike. There was an argument between them for not giving way to the trio. They beat up Kuwar and Waghmare and fled.


Waghmare was seriously injured in this brutal beating. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment. However, he died during the treatment.


Police Sub-inspector Shrikant Jadhav is conducting further investigation into the incident under the guidance of senior police inspector Ashok Dhumal of Paud police station.
