Pune, 9th October 2023: MLA Rohit Pawar has embarked on a significant journey in support of the youth of Maharashtra. He has organized a Youth Struggle foot march from Pune to Nagpur, covering a distance of over 800 kilometres. The foot march, which will start on October 25 from Tulapur in Pune, is set to conclude its journey in Nagpur on December 5.

Pawar shared details of the foot march during a press conference held in Pune. He emphasized the need to address pressing issues affecting the youth of the state, including rising unemployment rates, prolonged delays in conducting examinations, the prevalence of contract jobs over permanent positions, and various other challenges faced by the younger generation.

“This foot march serves as a platform for the youth to voice their expectations and desires directly,” said Pawar. He believes that direct communication with the people is crucial to draw the government’s attention to the struggles faced by the youth.

Pawar expressed his concerns about the government’s perceived apathy towards the issues raised by the youth. He stated, “The government’s indifference towards the problems faced by our youth cannot be ignored any longer. Hence, we have taken to the streets with this foot march.”

The campaign’s first phase is set to last for 42 days and will encompass a vast area, including 10 districts, 28 talukas, and more than 460 villages. The foot march aims to engage with a wide cross-section of the population, giving the youth an opportunity to share their concerns and expectations directly with the organizers.
