Rs 23.71 Lakh Fine Collected From Traffic Rules Violators On Pune-Mumbai Expressway: RTO

Pune, 13 July 2021: In a surprising revelation, the data released by Panvel and Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) showed that the majority of the vehicles passing through Pune Mumbai Expressway violate the traffic norms.

 

Lane cutting and overspeeding are the most common violations.

 

Taking serious cognizance of accidents on Pune Mumbai expressway, Transport commissioner Avinash Dhakane carried out a special six-day programme from July 5 to 10. During this programme action was taken against 760 of which 533 incidents were of lane cutting while 114 were of over speeding. A total of Rs 23.71 lakh were collected during this week.
