Rs 5000 To Be Given To Candidates Under Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme

Pune, 20th March 2023: Under the Maharashtra Apprenticeship Candidacy Promotion Scheme, the Apprenticeship stipend will be given as a direct benefit (DBT) through MahaDBT. The stipend is in addition to the amount given under the Apprenticeship Training Scheme. 75 per cent or 5000 rupees – whichever is less will be given. Under the Maharashtra Apprenticeship Candidacy Promotion Scheme, Apprentices who are not availing of the benefit of a tuition stipend under the Maharashtra Apprenticeship Candidacy Promotion Scheme will be paid.

The Department of Industry, Employment, Skills and Innovation released a circular in this regard. The Maharashtra Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme was approved in 2021 to complement the Apprenticeship Training Scheme to increase the recruitment of apprentice candidates under the Apprenticeship Training Scheme in Government, Semi-Government and Private Establishments. A cell will be established at the directorate level to implement this scheme. It has been mentioned that it has been approved to spend five per cent of the funds for this purpose. Also, the scholarship will be distributed to all the beneficiaries through DBT with accurate details. The scheme will be implemented through the MahaDBT website next year. In the financial year 2022-2023, the pending tuition fees have been instructed to be distributed offline.
