RSMSSB To Release Notification For Rajasthan CET Today
Pune, 6th August 2024: The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB) is set to release the notification for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2024 for both 12th and graduate levels today, Tuesday, 6th August. This announcement was anticipated following a statement from the RSMSSB secretary on 3rd August, who indicated efforts to release the notification by 5th or 6th August. This is significant news for 12th-pass and graduate candidates seeking government jobs in Rajasthan, as the CET serves as a preliminary stage for direct recruitment across various state government departments.
RSMSSB Secretary Dr. Bhag Chand Badhal (RAS) confirmed these details on 3rd August via the social media platform X. He stated, “Efforts are being made to release the CET notification on 5th or 6th August 2024.” The notification is crucial for those preparing for the exam as it outlines key details and dates. If the notifications for both levels were not released on Monday, they will certainly be issued today.
Regarding examination details, Dr. Badhal shared that there is a possibility of negative marking in this year’s CET. “Many candidates have recommended the inclusion of negative marking in the CET, and the board is in favor of this provision,” he said. Candidates, however, will need to wait for the official notification for confirmation.
Moreover, the RSMSSB has set the qualifying marks for the CET at 40 percent. This was detailed in an announcement by the Personnel Department on 3rd August. Candidates from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in Rajasthan will receive a 5 percent relaxation, reducing their qualifying marks to 35 percent. This update is critical for candidates to understand the benchmarks they need to meet.
