RTO To Intensify Action Against Violation Of Rules On Pune-Kolhapur Highway
Pune 16th Oct 2023: The Regional Transport Office (RTO) has planned a special drive against vehicles violating traffic rules on Pune-Kolhapur Highway. The dedicated squads of RTO will now be deployed around the clock between Pune and Kolhapur from today and they will check random vehicles to find and punish the violation of traffic rules.
The move aims to reduce the accidents on the busy highway by ensuring that the motorists follow the rules. Earlier the RTO officials conducted a similar drive on Pune-Mumbai Expressway where the squads from Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, Panvel, Thane and Mumbai were deployed 24*7. Besides penalising the violators the officials were also involved in educating the drivers on traffic rules. The initiative, according to the RTO officials, helped reduce the number of accidents on the expressway. Now the RTO officials aim to implement the campaign on Pune-Kolhapur highway.
