Schools For Classes 1 To 7 Reopen From December 16 In Pune, Read PMC Order

Pune, 14th December 2021: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) today issued revised guidelines for reopening schools for classes 1 to 7 from December 16.
PMC Commissioner Vikram Kumar has issued the order which will be applicable in the Khadki cantonment and Pune cantonment also.
The PMC order states:
1) Permission is being given to start regular classes from 1st to 7th standard in all medium schools in Pune Municipal Corporation area from 16.12.2021.
2) Maharashtra State government guidelines for the prevention of COVID should be strictly followed.
3) Ensuring hygiene and disinfection facilities in the school. Availability of essential items like disinfectant, soap, water etc.
should be done.
4) Teachers and non-teaching staff of the school who have not completed 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccination are required to take RT-PCR test before 48 hours and the certificate should be kept in the school docket.
5) Vaccination of all teachers and teaching staff in the school should be completed.
6) Rules of physical distance in the classroom as well as seating arrangement in staff room should be done.
7) Guidelines regarding the use of masks etc. should be put in the school. Special markings should be made to maintain a physical distance of at least 6 feet for queuing inside and outside the school premises.
8) Different ways for entry and exit to maintain physical distance
9) Students should get the written consent of their parents before attending school.
10) The school premises should be cleaned regularly every day to maintain cleanliness and health conditions in and around the school. Frequent disinfection of toilets.
Any person violating the orders and guidelines for the prohibition of COVID-19 shall be liable to prosecution under sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 as well as other legal provisions under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
