Schools in Maharashtra Will Reopen From June 15

Mumbai, 12th June 2022:Schools in Maharashtra will be reopened on June 15, 2022. Amidst many speculations on the date of opening of the school, the government has announced the date of reopening the school through an official notice shared by Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad on Twitter.

Gaikwad tweeted, “It’s school time again!! After the summer break, our schools are all set to welcome students into a safe, healthy environment from the 15th of June. So students set your alarm clock, pack your bags and get ready.”

The Education Minister also mentioned the zero-tolerance policy adopted by the state against school dropouts. Further, he tweeted, “To uphold the right of every child to education, we must strive for zero tolerance against school dropouts. As a step in this direction, we have asked the local authorities to conduct a detailed survey to identify school dropout kids, so that they can be brought back to school.”

The official notice shared by the government has asked people to follow the COVID-19 protocols to maintain a safe environment. The schools were closed in April and were scheduled to open from June 13, but a decision was not taken due to the rise in COVID cases. Now, the officials have announced the school reopening date, and students are advised to contact their respective schools for any queries.
