Senior Police Officers In Pune And Pimpri Chinchwad Transferred, Check Details Here

Pune, 16th May 2025: The Home Department of the Maharashtra State Government has announced the transfer of several key police officials from major cities across the state, including Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.

In a significant reshuffle of the state’s police force, several transfers and promotions have been made that impact the Pune District, which includes three major policing units: Pune City Police Commissionerate, Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, and Pune Rural Police Force. The following are the transfers and changes affecting the Pune District:

1) Shailesh Balkawade – Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Pune has been transferred to Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Mumbai.
2) Praveen Patil – Additional Commissioner of Police (West), Pune has been transferred to Additional Commissioner of Police (North), Mumbai.
3) Sanjay B. Patil – Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Nagpur has been appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police, Pune.
4) Vasant Pardeshi – Additional Commissioner of Police, Pimpri-Chinchwad has been transferred to Additional Commissioner of Police, Nagpur.
5) S.D. Awhad – Deputy Inspector General of Police, CID Pune has been appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police, Pimpri-Chinchwad.
6) A.H. Chawriya – Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration), Pune has been promoted and appointed as Commissioner of Police, Amravati.
7) Pankaj Deshmukh – Superintendent of Police, Pune Rural has been appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police, Pune City.
