Shinde-Fadnavis Government Make Several Announcements In Budget Session, Check Details Below

Mumbai, 9th March 2023: The Shinde-Fadnavis government has made several announcements in the budget session 2023-24, keeping in view the assembly elections to be held in the coming year. As the country is completing 75 years of independence, provisions have been made based on the ‘Panchamrut’ mission based on this golden age, including sustainable agriculture and inclusive development of all sections of society – including prosperous farmers, women, tribals, backward classes, OBCs – infrastructure development through substantial capital investment, and employment generation.

Important provisions of the budget:

This is the 350th year of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s coronation. Rs 350 crore will be given for the celebration.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Concept Park at Ambegaon (Pune): Rs 50 crore
Parks in Mumbai, Amravati, Nashik, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nagpur: Rs 250 crore
Museum on the biography of Shivaji Maharaj at Shivneri Fort. Conservation of Shivaji’s Forts: Rs 300 crore
Namo Shetkari Maha Sanman Fund Scheme: Farmers in Maharashtra will now get an honorarium of Rs 12,000 (Contribution of State Government to Pradhan Mantri Krishi Samman Nidhi Yojana)
The state government will give Rs 6,000 per farmer per year. Hence, they will get Rs 12,000 per annum – Rs 6,00 from the Centre and State each
Benefit to 1.15 crore farming families
The state government will spend Rs 6,900 crore
Farmers in Maharashtra now get crop insurance at just Rs one
Two per cent of the premium was required from farmers in the previous scheme. Now there is no burden on farmers. The state government will pay the instalment
It will add up to Rs 3,312 crore
Benefits of loan waiver schemes to farmers in Maharashtra: The remaining eligible farmers of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Shetkari Samman Yojana of 2017 will be given the benefits of the scheme
The benefits of the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Shetkari Debt Relief Scheme were given by this government
Direct deposit of Rs 4,683 crore in the accounts of 12.84 lakh eligible farmers
Mahakrishivikas Abhiyan for farmers in Maharashtra: Mahakrishivikas Abhiyan will be implemented to increase the income of farmers in the state
Production value will increase
Farmers will be split into groups according to Taluka and District
An integrated crop-based project plan will be prepared
Rs 3,000 crore will be made available in five years
Magel Tyala Shettale scheme is now widely expanded: applicable for fields, orchards, drip irrigation, the lining of fields, shed-net, greenhouse, modern planters, cotton shredders, and others.
Rs 1,000 crore will be spent on this scheme
Cashew Development Scheme: Kaju Board for Konkan with a capital of Rs 200 crore
Processed cashew costs seven times more
The centre in Konkan will hence generate income
Cashew Development Scheme to be introduced in Konkan and Kolhapur, among other places.
Provision of Rs 1,325 crore for five years
Gopinath Munde Shetkari Suraksha Sanugrah Subsidy Scheme will provide upto Rs two lakh for accident casualties
This scheme will be implemented by the state government now instead of insurance companies
The amount given to families of accident victims increased from Rs one lakh to Rs two lakh
Promotion of natural farming: natural farming will be encouraged
25 lakh hectares area will be brought under organic farming in three years
1000 bio-input resource centres will be established
Expansion of Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Organic Farming Mission
Rs 1000 crore fund in three years
Shri Food Excellence Center to be set up at Solapur
‘Shree Anna Abhiyan’ to be introduced in Maharashtra on the occasion of the International Year of Cereals
Financial provision of Rs 200 crore
Shree Anna will set up the Center of Excellence in Solapur
Agricultural Training Center in Nagpur, Orange Processing Center in Vidarbha
Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Mission will set up an International Agricultural Facility Center in the College of Agriculture in Nagpur
The aim is to use and spread the latest technology

Rs 20 crore will be given to orange processing centres across the state
Direct financial assistance to farmers instead of food grains: Direct financial assistance will be given to orange ration card holders in 14 disaster-affected districts of Vidarbha, Marathwada
Cash instead of food grains directly into the Aadhaar bank account
Shelter food for farmers who come to sell their produce: Facilitation for farmers coming to sell farm produce in Agricultural Produce Market Committee
Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Shetkari Bhawan to be introduced for the stay of farmers
Availability of thali for meals
Gosamvardhana, Goseva: Maharashtra Goseva Commission will be established for the conservation, rearing and protection of indigenous cattle
Govardhan Govansh Seva Kendra Yojana and others will be implemented through the commission
Increase in embryo transfer, transplant facility for indigenous cattle breeding
Rs 160 crore for the second phase of dairy development in 11 districts of Vidarbha-Marathwada
New Veterinary College in Ahmednagar District
Rs 1,000 crore to Dhangar society
Maharashtra Sheep Goat Cooperative: Development Corporation will be established
Headquarters will be at Ahmednagar
Substantial fund for sheep rearing in Raje Yashwantrao Holkar Mahamesh Yojana
10 thousand crores interest-free loan will be made available

Maharashtra is the first state to implement a policy for compensation to project-affected fishermen
Fishery development fund of Rs 50 crore or two per cent of the project to assist fisher families displaced or temporarily affected by the project
Removed 120 horsepower condition of mechanical boats for diesel subsidy to fishermen
Hence benefit to fishermen of over Rs 85 thousand
The backlog of years will be completely removed this year

Solar energization of 30 per cent agricultural power lines in three years for daytime power supply, benefiting 9.50 lakh farmers
1.50 lakh solar agricultural pumps from Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana
Immediate electricity connection to 86,073 pending agricultural pump applicants
Expiration of power tariff concession for farmers under Upsa Jalsanchan Yojana till March 2024
River-linking projects and irrigation projects: Damanganga-Pinjal river linking project from state funds
