Mumbai, 15th January 2018: Students from CEDP Skill Institute, a pioneer in Skill Education industry recently build a reverse trike all by themselves. Students who had opted for the Automobile technician course at the Institute assembled the entire vehicle from scratch. The reverse trike comes with a 125cc Honda Shine engine and has a front suspension and the steering seat borrowed from a Tata Nano. The three-wheeled vehicle was made over a period of 2 months and cost the students just INR 50,000. The vehicle weighing approximately 220 kgs with a width and length of 5ft 8 inches and 10 foot, respectively did leave a lot of people amazed, as spotting a reverse trike is quite unusual on the streets in India.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Vasim Shaikh, Group Chairman & Managing Director, CEDP Skill Institute, shared “At CEDP Skill Institute we strongly believe in application based learning and keeping in mind the same, our curriculums have been curated. It’s an absolute delight when you see your students create something completely on their own based on the knowledge they gained while being with us. We are happy to have contributed to the automobile industry through the supply of skilled workforce.”

The students, who build the trike, come from humble backgrounds and never have had the opportunity to work on a bike engine before enrolling with CEDP Skill Institute. The students are thankful for the training provided by the expert faculty at CEDP Skill Institute who guided them throughout the entire process. The trike has been made for the purpose of exhibition only. Every year students of CEDP Skill Institute showcase their creation in order to reach out to a wider audience. Last year, Parth Kotak, an ex-CEDP Skill Institute student had built a 12 feet long bike under the name of Adler Rider.

Further to this, multiple need-based skilled courses were also launched by CEDP Skill Institute in the presence of Mr Dilip Chenoy, Secretary General, FICCI. The courses launched will not only boost the prospects for the youth to get employment but also will lead to the growth of future entrepreneurs in the automobile sector. Thus, generating more employment.
