SPECIAL MEDITATION SESSION OF BRAHMA KUMARIS IN PCDA(SC) PUNE

Pune, 11th October 2023: Office of the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Southern Command) Pune had recently organized a spiritual lecture and Vipassna Meditation session as part of the ongoing ‘Wisdom Series’ project in vogue here in this office. This enlightening event took place in the Central Auditorium of PCDA(SC) Pune on the dated 9th of October, 2023 attended by more than 200 persons in hubrid mode, both physically and through Video Conferencing(VC) 109 Sub-Offices joined the session.

During the event, the well known famous motivational speaker, Brahma Kumari Deepa Didi and Sonali Didi, a Highly skilled management professional and ardent soiritual Trainer having a vast rich 30-years experience of conducting such special behavioural training programs & personality development session. She had conducted programmes for Government, Semi-Government and private sectors in past & with great perfection. 

Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, ndc, PCDA (SC) Pune graced the occasion as the Chief Guest along with other IDAS Officers. On this special session, Smt. S.R. Boid, IDAS, DCDA, Smt. Vaishali D’souza, IDAS, DCDA, Swapnil Hanmane, IDAS, ACDA, Sh. Tushar Mehra, IDAS, ACDA, Sh. R.K. Bindroo, IDAS, ACDA, Sh. Venkat Rao, IDAS, ACDA as well as other Officers- Sh. Ravi Kumar, SAO, Sh. K.P. Singh, SAO, Smt. Madhu Gandhi SAO etc were also present.

In his keynote address, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of Vipassna (Meditation) in our day-to-day fast-paced life which is full of stress and strain. He advocated promoting mental peace, Serenity, Sanguineness, eternity and the ability to work effectively even in the most challenging & depressing situations.

He brought out transitory, transient perishable nature of a living being but highlighted the nature & infinite potential of the immortal human soul which transcend into other living forms. It is not how long but how well we live, that matters, he further added. He advised all to shed their inflated ego & instead of ‘I’ adopt ‘WE’ attitude. IF you want to change the world, You neeed to practice it first, he further added.

Special Talk Show of Brahma Kumari Deepa Didi, focused on achieving a balance between Self, Home and Office work. They used the analogy of a wheel’s hub and spokes as its peripherals to convey the importance of being in centre of activity, focused to maintain the equilibrium in act word and deed.

Self Awareness & Self-discovery was identified as a crucial aspect, achieved by innate understanding and collectively uniting the body and soul, composed of the mind, intellect and sanskars. This can result in enriching one’s own human personality in 3 verticals viz. Will Power, Thought Fulfilment & Experience Enrichment. Mindfulness & meditation are the key to achieve mental peace & satisfaction.

The session further delved into the innate qualities of our being, where knowledge impacts the nervous system, purity influences the circulatory system, happiness affects the digestive system, power strengthens the skeletal system (including bones and muscles), bliss has an impact on the endocrine system, love nurtures the cardiovascular system and peace soothes the ENT system. To sum up all these are interdependent & no one can work without the help of others.

The soul was described as an eternal point of divine light, which can be recharged through positive ideas thoughts, acts and actions, making the right decisions and having the willpower to change one’s lifestyle to glory prosperity and success. We are the creators & makers of our destiny.

Concluding the session, they explained the cycle of consciousness, illustrating how our consciousness shapes our mindset, attitude and ultimately, our actions in the world.

Brahma Kumaris concluded the session by guiding all the staff and officers through meditative exercises, for few minutes urging them to spare 5 minutes in their busy schedules for calming their nerves & pacifying their minds. The event concluded with applause, leaving the environment brimming with positive energy, religious fervour and enthusiasm. Opening address and closing address is delivered by K.P. Singh, SAO.
