Speed Up Land Measurement Process For Ring Road By Resolving Landowner’s Issues: Collector Instructs Officials

Pune, 24th May 2021: A review meeting was conducted by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) regarding the land acquisition process for the construction of the Ring Road Highway.
Pune District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh has directed the authorities to visit 25 villages where land is being acquired for the ring road and solve the problems of landholders to speed up the measurement process of land and start the work soon.
District Superintendent of Land Records Rajendra Gole, Sub-Divisional Officer Maval, Mulshi, Haveli, Daund-Purandar, Bhor, Khed, Deputy Superintendent of Land Records of the concerned talukas, all officers and engineers of MSRDC were present during the meeting. Dr Chandrakant Pulkundwar, Jt Managing Director of MSRDC, was present through a video conference from Mumbai.
As the revenue administration has gone to the villages affected by the ring road and resolved all the queries and difficulties of the landowners, the opposition for the census has been reduced and so far 160 hectares of land in 12 out of 37 villages have been completed. Till now, the land acquisition process of 12 villages namely Ghotawade, Materewadi, Ambadwat, Kasar-Amboli, Katwadi (6 villages) in Mulshi taluka, Malkhed, Mandvi Budruk, Vardade, Ghera-Sinhagad, Mordadwadi (5 villages) and Mauje-Kusgaon in Bhor taluka is done.
Preliminary notification for land acquisition in 46 villages of five talukas namely Maval, Khed, Haveli, Purandar and Bhor for the Ring Road (East) route was published in the Gazette on 19th May 2021. As per this notification, Dr Pulkundwar instructed the engineers of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation to submit the land acquisition proposal to the Collectorate immediately.
