SSC CGL 2020: 6,506 government jobs in central ministries and departments

Pune, December 30, 2020: The online application process has been started by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of a total of 6,506 Group B and Group C posts in Central Government Ministries, Departments and other organizations. Candidates are to be selected for these posts through the Combined Graduate Level 2020 exam (CGL-exam 2020). Candidates wishing to apply for SSC CGL 2020 exam can apply on the official website of the Commission, ‘ssc.nic.in’ till 31 January 2021.
SSC CGL 2020 exam notification released on 29 December
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued notification for Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2020. According to the SSC CGL Notification 2020 released by the Commission on Monday, 29 December 2020, CGL examination will be conducted this year. According to the SSC CGL 2020 schedule released with the notification by the Commission, the process of online application has started from December 29.

SSC CGL 2020: Total 6,506 posts in Group B and C
As per the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2020 notification by SSC, candidates are to be selected for a total of 6,506 posts. Of these, 250 posts belong to the gazetted category in Group B and 3,513 posts are non-gazetted. At the same time, recruitment for 2,743 posts in Group C will be done through SSC CGL 2020 exam.
SSC CGL 2020: Eligibility criteria
Only those candidates who have passed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized university or other higher education institute can apply for Joint Graduate Level Examination, 2020 of Staff Selection Commission. Candidates from the final year or semester may also apply. However, such candidates will have to pass the examination by 1 January 2021. In addition to the educational qualification, the age of the candidates should be minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 1 January 2021. However, the maximum age limit for some posts is 30 years. At the same time, a provision for relaxation in the maximum age limit has also been made for the candidates of reserved classes (SC, ST, OBC and others).
