Strikers gain success to enter U-13 final
Pune, 17 Janauary 2023: Success Strikers became the first team to secure a spot in the finals of the fifth edition of the City Premier League (CPL) Intra-Club 7-A-Side football tournament at the City Sports Arena, Moshi.
The tournament organized by City FC Pune on behalf of Sports Foundation Pune saw Success Strikers score back-to-back wins to gain maximum points and also remain unbeaten in the Under-13 section.
On Day-3 of the competition, Success Strikers began the day edging out Diamond Daggers 1-0 profiting most from an own-goal scoffed by Soham Chaudhari (8th). Later, Success Strikers fought off the challenge of Aditya Allstars 2-1. Neel Chavan (5th) and Rohit Nalwad (14th) put Strikers ahead, but Allstars had Adhinath Abhay (20th) strike deep into the second half to pull one back
In the Above 15-year section, Jyoti Jaguars registered their first victory to keep their hopes alive for the finals. A goal each by Achtuh Abhay (16th) and Prathamesh Sagar (17th) was enough for the Jaguars down Success Strikers 2-0.
