Students from ‘Swami Vivekananda school’ visits Masjid-E-Azam to mark Gandhi Jayanti

Students from Swami Vivekananda school (Bibwewadi) visits Masjid-E-Azam in Pune Camp to mark Gandhi Jayanti.
The NSS Unit of Abeda Inamdar Senior College has taken an exceptional step on the occation of Gandhi Jayanti by inviting students from Swami Vivekananda school of Bibwewadi, Pune to the Masjid.
The initiative was taken along with Rotary Club of Pune Lokmanyanagar.
The aim of the activity was to create friendliness between people of Different religious background and to get an exposure to other beliefs and finding links between them at the appropriate age itself which helps in avoiding any pre-judices that they might carry in the future.
On 2nd October 2018, Almost 40 students between an age group of 10 to 16 years along with their teachers visited the beautiful Mosque named Masjid-E-Azam at Azam Campus, Pune.
In the mosque students get an opportunity to wach live Azan, Abolution (Wazu) and people offering namaz & Dua.
A brief address by the Imam of Masjid Mufti Ahmad Hussain was arranged where he guided students about the concept of secularism in Islam.
A small question-answer session was also organised where the Imam answered various queries and cleared confusions.
On the occasion, Principal Dr. Shaila Bootwala, NSS Officer Dr. Aftab Alam and Members Mr. Khalid Arshad and Mr. Usama Shaikh were present along with Members of Rotary club Mr. Mandar Kulkarni, Mr. Pradip Awate and Ms. Mayura.
