Suryadatta Education Foundation Provides Scholarships To 75 Employees For Higher Education

Pune, 2 September 2021: On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, the Suryadatta Education Foundation will offer scholarships to 75 young people working in various companies under the Suryadatta Industry-Institute Interface (CSR) Initiative.

 

The intention behind this initiative is to pay homage to the nation in a unique way on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence. The scholarship will be available for part-time courses affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), said Sushma Chordia, Vice President and Siddhant Chordia, Chief Development Officer.

 

Sushma Chordia said, “Under the initiative of the founding president of the Institute, Professor Dr. Sanjay Chordia, this incentive scholarship is given to the employees every year for part-time education. This is the twelfth year of the scholarship scheme. In the last 11 year, more than 1300 employed students have availed scholarships worth Rs 2.5 to 3 crore. More than 200 companies have requested the recommendation of good employees in their organization. To avail of this scholarship, the candidate should be a graduate of any University and also between 22 to 55 years of age. Employees from all walks of life can take advantage of this for post-graduation. Preference will be given to those who are financially weak due to the corona crisis.”

 

Savitribai Phule Pune University affiliated Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM), Post Graduate Diploma in Import-Export Management (PGIEM), Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Services (PGDFS), Post Graduate Diploma in Materials and Logistics Management (PGDMLM), Post Graduate Diploma in Foreign Trade (PGDFT) The scholarship is applicable to five one-year courses. Production Manager, Store Manager, Line Leader, Senior Engineer, Hardware-Software Engineer, Team Member, Assistant Branch Manager, Director, Purchase Officer, Store Assistant, Superintendents, those working in the above as well as other positions will be eligible for this scholarship. All lectures will be held after office hours on weekends to enable the staff to attend classes. More than 70 junior clerks, coordinators, librarians, receptionists and other junior staff at Suryadatta have completed their postgraduate studies through this scheme. Many graduates are pursuing PhDs today and many have been promoted, some to senior, as well as director positions. While some have started their own businesses, this is a great success of the scheme, added Sushma Chordia.

 

While speaking on the occasion Siddhant Chordia said that “Suryadatta Group of Institutes is known as an educational institution with quality, research education, holistic development and expert management. Also, various activities are carried out in the organization to maintain social awareness. Application for interested employees will be invited from various companies Scholarships will be given to eligible, right candidates by selecting them. Due to financial constraints, many youngsters go back to work after graduation, so they cannot pursue higher education. Suryadatta is giving such youngsters the opportunity to do post-graduation. The purpose behind this is just because of financial difficulties the education of hard-working youngsters shouldn’t stop. Companies do not promote graduates. They want specialization in post-graduation. In addition, it will provide an opportunity for self-employed youth to add to their knowledge. We are encouraging employees, small business owners to do post-graduation by giving scholarships so that they can progress in their respective careers”
