Thakur, Gund, Advait,Marne lift titles at PMDTA-KPIT-ICON Junior Little Champions Bronze series Tennis Tournament
Pune, October 3, 2022: Samaira Thakur, Reyansh Gund, Advait Gund and Ovee Marne claimed titles in their respective events at the PMDTA – KPIT-ICON Little Junior Champions Bronze series Tennis Tournament organized by Pune Metropolitan District Tennis Association (PMDTA) supported by KPIT and ICON. played at Savitribai Phule Pune University and Fergusson College Tennis Courts.
In the girls under 8 finals 2nd standard student of Vibgyor School fourth seeded Samaira Thakur beat Zayn Gupta 7-6(4) to lift titles, while in the boys section 2nd standard student of SS English Medium School, Reynash Gund outplayed Shitiz Prasad 7-1 to claimed the title.
In the boys under 10 event finals 5th standard student of Bal Shikshan Mandir Advait Gund upset top seeded Soham Ransubhe 7-2 and lift the title. Advait practices at Millenium School under coach Faisal Ansari. In the girls section, 5th standard student of Muktangan English Medium School Ovee Marne scored a 7-4 win over Nakshatra Iyer to claim the title in this category. She practices at Akshay Shahane Tennis Academy under coach Milind Marne.
The winner and runner up got a trophy and certificates. The prizes were given away at the hands of Mr. Sangram Chaphekar and Tournament Supervisor Tejal Kulkarni.
