This Time 15% More MLAs Tainted In Uttar Pradesh Assembly

New Delhi, 14th March 2022: In the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, no party has avoided muscle power and money power. If the parties distributed tickets to such people with open heart then the public did not hesitate to bring them to the assembly after getting them elected.

An analysis of affidavits of 403 winning candidates by the Uttar Pradesh election watchdog, Association for Democratic Reform (ADR), has found that 15 percent more tainted and 11 percent more Crorepati’s have reached the 18th Assembly as compared to 2017. Talking about the major parties, the BJP has been ahead in bringing more Crorepati’s to the house if they have been elected on more tainted SP tickets.

According to the ADR report, out of 403 winning candidates, 205 (51 per cent) have declared criminal cases against themselves. In 2017, 143 (36 per cent) MLAs out of 402 were like this. This time 158 (39 per cent) have declared serious criminal cases against themselves, up from 107 (26 per cent) out of 402 in 2017. There are five winning candidates who have declared cases related to murder against them. 29 have declared cases related to attempt to murder, six have declared cases related to atrocities against women, while one MLA has also been elected against whom rape cases are registered.

If reviewed party wise, 111 out of 255 (44 percent) of BJP, 71 out of 111 (64 percent) of Samajwadi Party, 7 out of 8 (88 percent) of Rashtriya Lok Dal, 4 out of 6 of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party ( 67 per cent), Nirbal Indian Shoshit Hamara Apna Dal (Nishad) has 4 out of 6 (67 per cent), Apna Dal (Sonelal) 3 out of 12 (25 per cent), Jansatta Dal Loktantrik 2 (100 per cent), Congress Two (100 per cent) and one (100 per cent) winning candidates of BSP have declared criminal cases against themselves.

In serious criminal cases, 35 percent of BJP, 43 percent of SP, 63 percent of RLD, 67 percent of Subhasp, 67 percent of Nishad, 17 percent of Apna Dal (S), while one hundred each from Congress, Jansatta Dal Loktantrik and BSP. Percentage candidates. It is noteworthy that Congress and Jansatta Dal Loktantrik have a total of two MLAs and BSP only one, so their figure is hundred percent.

91 percent MLAs are Crorepati’s: Out of the total 403, 366 i.e. 91 percent MLAs are Crorepati’s. In 2017 this figure was 80 percent. BJP has 233 (91 per cent) out of 255, SP 100 (90 per cent), Apna Dal (S) out of 12 (75 per cent), RLD has seven (88 per cent), RLD has seven (88 per cent). Six (100 per cent) MLAs of Nishad Party, six (100 per cent) of Nishad Party, two (100 per cent) of Jansatta Dal Loktantrik, two (100 per cent) of Congress and one (100 per cent) of BSP are Crorepati’s. All of them have declared assets of more than Rs 1 crore. 45 percent of MLAs have assets between two to five crores of more than five crores, 30 percent. 20 percent assets 50 lakh to two Crores.

Amit Aggarwal is the Richest: Among the top three candidates who declared the highest assets among the winning MLAs, BJP candidate Amit Agarwal of Meerut district is in the first place, who has declared his assets as 148 crores. In second place is Mohammad Nasir of Samajwadi Party from Moradabad Rural seat of Moradabad district, whose assets are 60 crores. In third place is Rakesh Pandey from Jalalpur assembly seat of Ambedkarnagar of Samajwadi Party, who has declared his assets as 59 crores. The average assets of the winning candidates was 8.06 crores, which was 5.92 crores in 2017.
