New Delhi, 27 February 2021: Tenzin Tsundue, a Tibetan writer and activist, has started a march from Dharamshala to Delhi to appeal to the government to revoke one china policy. Tsundue, a Tibetan writer and activist who has stood up for the Tibetan people’s rights for over a decade, wants to bring the world’s focus on Tibet, the missing link in the India-China crisis, and highlight the threat that China poses to the world.

Tsundue explains, “China does not reciprocate despite the world’s recognition and support for the One-China policy. Instead, Beijing continues to stake claim to the territories of other nations like Taiwan and the nations in the South China Sea. In India, they claim the entire state of Arunachal Pradesh, parts of Ladakh, Himachal, Uttarakhand, and Sikkim, and has dragged India to the UN on Kashmir while refusing to respect UN judgments against China’s claims in the South China Sea.”

“I will lead a global campaign petitioning different states’ heads to repeal their One-China Policy and recognize Tibet, East Turkestan, and Southern Mongolia as occupied countries. I will also urge the government to support Hong Kong’s struggle for democracy and Taiwan’s independence”, added Tsundue.

He further said that When the Galwan Valley massacre struck India last June, most Indians couldn’t even locate this place on the map, much less understand why Chinese PLA soldiers killed Indian soldiers there. How did they come to Indian borders in the first place? China is creating border disputes not only with India but also with 14 of its other neighboring countries. Chinese aggression is now the norm – from Taiwan to Hong Kong and the South China Sea, Chinese expansionism is a growing threat to all of China’s neighbors and the entire world. China’s imperialist designs not only aim to expand its land and sea territories, but Xi Jinping has also proven to the world that his real aim is world domination and the subjugation of other nations.

Tsundue has urged people to support those oppressed by China by signing this petition and walking a mile. He has asked people to use and share hashtags- #AmileForTibet, #Amile4Tibet #RepealOneChinaPolicy #StopAppeasingCCP on social media.

The March to Delhi has begun on the Tibetan New Year Losar, 12 February 2021, and will be concluded in Delhi on March 10, the Tibetan National Uprising Day. It’s a one-person march with two supporters for logistics and public communication. The distance is 500 kilometers, and Tsundue plans to cover this in one month, camping every night on the roadside in night shelters. From Dharamshala, I will walk through the Kangra Valley and enter the plains of Punjab from Una. I will pay my respects at the Shri Anandpur Sahib Gurudwara and head to Mohali, Panchkula, and Chandigarh. From there, I will head to Delhi via Karnal, Ambala, and Sonipat”, said Tsundue.
