Traffic Diversion On Pune-Ahmednagar Highway From December 31st To January 1st For Bhima Koregaon Battle Anniversary

Pune, 27th December 2021: As thousands of people are expected to gather at Perne Phata for the commemoration of the Bhima Koregaon battle on January 1, Pune Police has planned traffic diversion on Pune-Ahmednagar Highway.

The traffic route has been changed in the area from 7 pm on December 31 till midnight of January 1.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (traffic branch) Rahul Shrirame has appealed to motorists to take alternative routes. Apart from that, parking has been arranged for the vehicles of the citizens coming to greet at the Victory Pillar (Jaystambh).

Pune to Ahmednagar traffic will be diverted to Kharadi bypass – Kedgaon – Chaufula – Nhavara – Shirur.

Traffic from Solapur to Chakan will be diverted to Kharadi Bypass via Vishrantwadi-Alandi-Chakan.

Heavy traffic from Mumbai to Ahmednagar will be diverted to Wadgaon Maval – Chakan – Khed – Manchar – Narayangaon Allephata – Ahmednagar.

Heavy vehicles from Mumbai to Ahmednagar will be diverted to Chakan – Khed – Pabal – Shirur to Ahmednagar.

PMPML bus from parking to Vijaystambha: Parking has been arranged at various places for the vehicles of the citizens, from there PMPML buses have been arranged to ferry them to the Vijaystambh (victory pillar).

Parking: 

For vehicles (cars) coming from Pune, a parking facility will be provided at Lonikand near Aple Ghar on the open land of Hanumant Kand, Sandip Satav’s open land, Sagar Gaikwad’s open land near Lonikand Baudh Vasti. People coming from Alandi can park their vehicles at Tulapur Phata.

For the vehicle coming from Theur, Kesanand: Vacant plot in front of Somvanshi Academy. Khandobacha Mal, Ashtapur, Dongargaon, Perne, vacant plot in front of Chhatrapati Shri Shivaji Maharaj Statue in Perne village. Apart from this, parking space for two-wheelers has been provided in front of Tata Motors and a field adjacent to Jyotiba Park Goshala.
