Two Children Among Four Injured in Early Morning House Fire in Mohamadwadi, Pune
Mohamadwadi, 28th May 2025: A major fire broke out in the early hours of Tuesday in a residential building in Mohamadwadi’s Sai Colony, Wadkar Mala area, leaving four members of a family — including two children — injured.
The incident was reported around 4:30 am, prompting a quick response from the Kale Borate Nagar Fire Station. A fire engine was immediately dispatched to the spot.
Upon arrival, fire personnel found that the blaze had engulfed a house on the second floor of a two-storey building. Firefighters acted swiftly to douse the flames and rescue the trapped residents. A man, a woman, and two children were pulled from the burning house and rushed to the hospital with the help of local residents.
All four sustained burn injuries and are currently undergoing treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
According to fire officials, household goods were extensively damaged in the blaze. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this stage. An investigation is underway to determine what triggered the incident.
