New Delhi, 10th April 2023: According to a joint recommendation from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC), Indian students are advised not to enroll in any college or educational institution in Pakistan.

The UGC states that any Indian student who travels to Pakistan to study technical education, higher education, or any other course will not be eligible to apply for admission to programs or positions in India.

Students have been warned against unrecognized or “fake” schools operating in the nation ahead of college admissions. The UGC has discovered 27 such fake higher education institutes in the nation over the past two years.

Students all around the nation have been warned to steer clear of educational institutions that claim to be founded following the UGC Act but give degrees that go outside the letter of the law. According to the Union Education Ministry, such institutions’ degrees won’t be recognized for employment or further education.

The “Open International University for Alternative Medicines” and the “National Board of Alternative Medicines” are two unrecognized institutions that the UGC has discovered. The UGC will likely soon produce a new list of these organizations.

The All India Institute of Public and Physical Health Science, a higher education institution in Delhi, has previously received a similar notification from the UGC. In its notification, the UGC urged students not to enroll in “self-styled” institutions.
