Pune: Arbitrariness Of Private Bus Travels Resulting In Traffic Jam Near Nashik Phata
Pimpri, 10th April 2023: The arbitrary operation of private buses (travels) in the city has become non-stop. Travels are being parked on the side of the road on the Pune-Mumbai and Pune-Nashik highways in Nashik Phata without any fear of the traffic police. This results in traffic jams. There are angry reactions from the vehicle owners regarding their arbitrary management.
Currently, the class 10 and class 12 exams are over. The number of people traveling to the village has increased during the summer holidays in April and May. Many people in the city are relying on private travels. For this, there are queues of private travels in Nashik Phata to pick up passengers who have booked tickets online for particular buses.
On the way from Pimpri-Chinchwad to Pune, there is a queue of big travelers on the left side at Nashik Phata. Also, as the passengers are also standing with their families, there is a huge crowd in this place resulting in obstruction of other traffic. As a result, disputes are also arising between travelers and other vehicle owners. The drivers are demanding action against these travelers who are adding to the traffic jam.
The office of the Traffic Police Department has located a short distance from Nashik Phata. The police of the traffic branch are also standing at the Chowk to smoothen the traffic system. However, it is seen that the traffic police are ignoring the traffic jam caused by private travels in front of them. It is seen that the private travel handlers are not afraid of the police personnel of the traffic branch.
Nashik Phata Chowk has a lot of traffic from 6 pm to 10 pm. Everyone is in a hurry to go home from work. As there are big roads in this place, many people drive fast. This time the private travels are on the road and they are facing obstacles. Also, one has to take a left turn while going to Pune from Bhosari. Travels are not expected to stand at such a time. Therefore, the chances of accidents are arising.
