UPSC IFS Mains 2020: Indian Forest Service Main Exam schedule announced

Pune, December 9, 2020: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the schedule of Indian Forest Service (IFS) (Principal) Examination 2020. According to the UPSC IFS Main Exam 2020 schedule released by the Commission on Tuesday, 8 December 2020, the main examination will start from 28 February and will run till 7 March 2021. The examination will be conducted on scheduled dates in two shifts of three hours each, starting from 9 am and 2 pm. The candidates who have been declared successful in the Forest Service Preliminary Examination conducted by the Commission along with the Civil Services and have submitted the detailed application form (DAF) for the main examination to the Commission can download the schedule from the UPSC IFS Mains Time Table 2021 Commission’s official website ‘upsc.gov.in’.
Principal exam will start with General English and General Knowledge
According to the main examination schedule released by the Commission on February 28, the first shift, General English will be held and in the second shift, General Knowledge Paper will be conducted. At the same time, on March 1, the Commission has given rest day to the candidates, while on March 2, Paper 1 of Mathematics/Statistics will be held in the morning shift and Paper 2 in the afternoon shift. Similarly, there will be different papers on different dates. On the last day, on March 7, there will be papers related to engineering subjects. The preliminary examination for the Civil Service and Forest Service was organized jointly by the Union Public Service Commission on October 4. The results of the preliminary examination were announced on 23 October. After this, the detailed application form-I (DAF-I) was filled from 16 November to 27 November 2020 for successful candidates to appear in the main examination.
