Online applications are invited for the Gujarat Medical and Health Service, Class-2 (Advt. No. 12/2019-20) under the Health and Family Welfare Department, Gujarat State, during Date: 15/07/2019, 13:00 p.m. to Date:31/07/2019, 13:00 p.m.

Candidates are instructed to visit Notice Board or the Web site of Commission or for all provisions of advertisement, General Instructions, application form and age relaxation.

Tentative date of Written Examination Result:      February- 2020
Tentative month of Personality Test:                   March – 2020
Tentative month of Final Result:            Result will be published within 10 working days after Interview Completion

Educational Qualification : –

Possess a bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or Under the Central or State Act in India; or any other Educational Institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University Under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act,1956; Or Possess an equivalent qualificaton specified in the first or second Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act,1956.

Note : The Candidate appointed on the basis of the result of competitive examination held for the purpose shall be required to get himself registered with the Gujarat Medical Council Act,1967 at the time of appointment, if he is not so registered.

Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules,1967;

Have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Pay: Rs.53,100 -1,67,800 Pay metrix Level-9 (R.O.P.- 2016)

Age: – Not more than 35 years. (Age will be calculated on the last date of receipt of online application.)

Preference of Post:

(1) The candidate at the time of personality test shall indicate in his own handwriting the order of preferences for the post for which he desires to be considered for appointments in such manner as may be prescribed by the commission.
(2) The preference was given by the candidate shall be treated as final and no request for revision, addition, alteration or change in the preference shall be entertained by the commission or by the government.
(3) The order of preference for the posts indicated by the candidate shall not confer any right for appointment to those posts.
(4) Having regard to the rank in the order of merit and the number of post available, the preference given by the candidates shall be considered by the government at the time of his appointment.
(5) Where a candidate has not given preference for any post or the candidate has given preference only for any post and the number of post for which he has given preference are not available to accommodate the candidate as per his preference. He shall be allotted to any of the remaining vacant post after allocation of all the candidates to the post in  accordance with their references.

Exam/Test Place: In normal condition, Written Examination will be held in Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad and Personality Test will be held in Office of the GPSC,

Application Fees: – Candidates of General category have to pay Rs. 100/- + applicable postal charges, while Candidates belonging to reserved categories and Economically Weaker Section of Unreserved category of Gujarat state and ExServiceman and P.H. Candidates do not need to fees. While candidates of reserved category of other states have to pay prescribed application fee.
