Water Problems Of Dhanori, Lohgaon Solved With Bhama Askhed Project
Pune, January 9, 2021: Bhama Askhed water supply scheme has started supplying water to the eastern part of Pune from today. The administration has planned this water supply in three phases.
Accordingly, in the first phase, the entire Dhanori and Lohgaon areas will get water from today. Currently, Lohgaon area has the highest water shortage and is now getting water after eight days. “I am confident that this period will be three to four days as water will be available from Bhama Askhed”, said MLA Sunil Tingre who convened a review meeting yesterday.
In the second phase of this scheme, Wadgaon Sheri and Vimannagar area will get water for about a month. Then in the third phase, water will reach Phulenagar, Pratiknagar, Nagpur Chawl, Housing Board and the rest will get water to the remaining areas including Yerawada, Tingrenagar, Kalas.
The administration said in the meeting that water supply would be provided in phases as it would take time for all the systems to be restored after the commencement of Bhama Askhed scheme.
Bhama Askhed water supply scheme was inaugurated by Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis at the beginning of the New Year.
