Water Supply To Parts Of Pune To Be Shut On Thursday For Flow Meter Installation
Pune, 21st March 2023: Water supply to some parts of the city will remain shut on Thursday, 23rd March, due to the installation of flow meters in the Chikhli water treatment plant, which supplies water to the city. This is being done to prevent leakage from the existing 1,200 mm diameter water channel between Parvati and SNDT and to connect the water tank channel at Chaturshringi to the main water channel.
The Water Supply Department of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has informed that on the next day, Friday, 24th March, the water supply will start with low pressure.
The areas under the Chaturshringi water tank include Aundh, Bopodi, Aundh Road, part of Khadki (Pune Mumbai Highway), Abhimanshree Society, Vidhate Vasti, ITI Road, Panchvati, Kasturba Colony, Siddharthnagar, AundhGAON, Pune University Campus, Bhau Patil Road, Baner Road Area, Bhoite Vasti, Sindh Society, Sanewadi, Anand Park, ICS Colony Bhosale Nagar, Indira Vasahat, Sakal Nagar, Anagal Park, and Raj Bhavan.
The areas under the Chikhli Water Centre include Ganesh Nagar Bopkhel, Mhaske Vasti, Alandi Road, Tingrenagar, Adarsh Colony, Barmashel Slum, Pune Airport, Lohegaon, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Vimannagar, Yamunanagar, Sripark Society, Dinkar Pathare Vasti, Thube Pathare Nagar, and Kharadi Bypass Road.
