Pune: Youth Dies Of Electric Shock While Exercising At Open Gym In Kothrud
Kothrud, 21st March 2023: Amol Shankar Nakate (21), a resident of Bhugaon, died while exercising at an open gym in Right Bhusari Colony. The incident occurred around 8 pm yesterday, and the police are currently investigating the matter.
Amol used to exercise with his friends at Mitra Mandal ground in Bhusari Colony every day, where he suffered an electric shock. His toes turned black and blue due to the electric current passing through his feet.
His friend rushed him to the nearby Sahyadri Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
According to the doctor, this may have been the cause of his death. However, the post-mortem report from Sassoon hospital is still pending, and the official cause of death is not yet confirmed.
Kothrud Police Station Senior Police Inspector Hemant Patil, Fire Officer Patharkar, MSEDCK Officer Salunkhe, former corporator Alpana Vara and Prashant Kanojia visited the spot.
