What’s Going To Change In WhatsApp? Official ID Will Have To Be Given Otherwise Account Will Be Blocked

Mumbai, 8th November 2021: There is news going on about WhatsApp, according to which your WhatsApp account is going to change soon. 

According to the report, the instant messaging platform WhatsApp is no longer limited to messaging only. 

Important things like UPI payment are being done through WhatsApp. In such a situation, WhatsApp is working towards making its platform more secure. Under this, WhatsApp is coming up with the ‘Verify Your Account’ feature, where WhatsApp users will have to verify their WhatsApp account. 

Fraud will be curbed  

After WhatsApp account verification, someone else can run a WhatsApp account by putting your name or photo. For this, you have to verify your identity. If you do not do this, your WhatsApp account may be blocked. 

Users will have to verify account 

According to the report of the beta version, users will have to give their official ID to verify the WhatsApp account. For this, users will have to provide some documents and their details. However, at present, an official ID is not required to use WhatsApp Payments in India. No announcement has been made about this from Facebook on WhatsApp as well. 

Indian WhatsApp Pay users can use WhatsApp Payments by verifying with the mobile number. According to RBI guidelines, wallet apps like Paytm can ask users for KYC verifications. Currently, the UPI-based app in India does not require any documents for Google Pay, PhonePe, and WhatsApp users to transfer or receive money. No official announcement has been made of any kind of change from WhatsApp. But WhatsApp changes have been spotted in the beta version. In such a situation, it is not clear whether it is for India or any other country.
