Why is the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya delayed?
Ayodhya, January 22, 2021: The reason behind the delay in the Ram Temple’s construction has been revealed. Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said that the temple foundation’s structure had been delayed due to water being found below the proposed Ram temple. The construction site is close to the Saryu river. Thus, the presence of water beneath the construction is delaying the structure’s work.
Rai also said that the temple’s foundation design would be finalized soon, and the construction work will begin quickly. A campaign is going on across the country to collect funds for the Ram temple’s construction.
Rai made the remark after the meeting of trust functionaries with engineers and experts from Larsen & Toubro and Tata Consulting Engineers Limited. Treasurer Govind Dev Giri accompanied him during this period.
Nripendra Mishra, head of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee, chaired the meeting. Giri said the trust would also meet on Friday to find a solution and discuss it.
Rai said that there is no change in the original time of temple construction. From February 2021, the construction of the temple will take 39 months. He further added that manual work has to be done due to which the intended target period can shift a little.
He believes that the foundation construction will be completed by August, after which the construction of the remaining temple will start.
