Will Ajit Pawar Join Back Sharad Pawar? NCP Supremo Says ‘No Split In Party’

Pune, 25th August 2023: In the midst of swirling speculations about the internal dynamics of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), party chief Sharad Pawar has moved to quash rumors of a potential split and reaffirm the unity within the party. Addressing concerns during his current stay in Baramati, Pawar emphasized that there is no conflict and no division within the NCP.

Pawar’s statement comes as murmurs continue to circulate regarding the potential return of Ajit Pawar, his nephew, to the party fold. Some have interpreted the ongoing use of Sharad Pawar’s image on billboards by the Ajit Pawar faction as a sign of their reliance on his support for electoral success.

The situation gained further attention following reports of a discreet meeting between senior NCP leader Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar earlier this month. The rendezvous, held at a residence in Koregaon Park, Pune, also included the presence of prominent NCP figure Jayant Patil. While the meeting caused political ripples, both Pawars downplayed its significance, asserting that it was a routine family interaction that had been misconstrued.

Sharad Pawar, during his recent speeches, has clarified that he remains committed to the NCP and has no intentions of aligning with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or joining the Eknath Shinde camp.
