Will Work To Make India A Sports Power: Rajnath Singh

Pune, 27 August 2021: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today said that the government will towards making India a sports power.

He was speaking after renaming a stadium after Tokyo Olympics Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra and felicitating defence forces Olympians at the Army Sports Institute (ASI) near Koregaon Park.

“ASI had worked with the athletes during the Covid pandemic period. The institute transported equipment to homes of athletes and made facilities at their homes to practice during the lockdown”, Singh said.
