With 10 Medals, Maharashtra NCC Team Ranks First In Shooting Championship

Pune, 2nd October 2021: National Cadets Corps (NCC) Maharashtra directorate has come first with the highest number of medals in the Inter Directorates Sports Shooting Championship 2021 held in Indore.

Maharashtra NCC came overall 1st with 47 points, West Bengal and Sikkim stood 2nd with 32 points while Delhi bagged the 3rd position with 15.5 points. The event was conducted in 50 meters and 10 meters Air Rifle categories.

Out of 16 directorates, NCC Maharashtra topped the table with five Golds, three Silver and two Bronze medals.

The Gold medal was won by Cdt Sourav Shinde, Cdt Hemanti Negi, Cdt Snehal Shelke, Cdt Manohar Mhaske and Cdt Shakshi Padekar, the Silver Medallist were Cdt Snehal Shelke, Cdt Shakshi Padekar and Cdt Nikita Takalkar and the Bronze was bagged by Cdt Aniket More and Cdt Nikita Takalkar.

These proud cadets will now represent NCC at the National level in the forthcoming All India GV Mavlankar Shooting Championship to be held in Ahmedabad this month. These cadets undertook the practice and coaching at the NCC Gp Hq Pune.
