Pune, 27 October 2021: “We all work in some or the other sector for our livelihood. However, working in healthcare sector is a gratifying experience of offering service to the humanity”, opined Lalita Bhosale, a senior member of the nursing staff from the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital during her felicitation ceremony at the MIT World Peace University, Kothrud Campus. Bhosale along with her team has vaccinated close to 1.5 Lakh citizens so far.

Faculty of Liberal Arts at MIT World Peace University felicitated Bhosale on her noteworthy contribution to humanity on the occasion of India crossing a landmark of 100 Cr jabs and Pune surpassing 50 Lakh jabs of vaccines, a decisive step in a fight against coronavirus.

Dr. Ravi Kumar Chitnis, Vice Chancellor, MIT World Peace University felicitated Lalita Bhosale by offering a bouquet of flowers and a memento. Dr. Anuradha Parasar, Dean Faculty of Liberal Arts and Dr. Preeti Joshi, Head of the School of Liberal Arts at MIT World Peace University were present on the occasion.

Bhosale’s liking for working in the healthcare sector got developed since her childhood as her mother was a healthcare professional and used to work with the well known KEM Hospital in Mumbai. While she was in the 10th standard she decided to make her career in the healthcare sector. Post marriage she came to Pune and took a break of a few years. Later she rejoined the work by starting to work at the Deenanath Hospital.

“The first and the second wave of Corona was indeed an extraordinary situation. However, I could still offer my service to the needy patients due to the support extended by my family members. I feel proud to be a part of the world’s largest vaccination drive. It also inspires me to give my best to everything I do”, said Bhosale.
