Youth Booked for Flying Drone Without Permission in Sensitive Dighi Zone in Pune
Pune, 24th March 2026: Police have registered a case against a 20-year-old youth for allegedly flying a drone without permission in the highly sensitive ‘Magazine Guard’ area in Dighi.
The incident took place on Saturday (March 21) at around 6.30 pm. According to police, the area is a restricted zone due to security concerns. Despite this, the accused allegedly lifted a section of the boundary fencing to gain entry and operated a drone inside the premises without authorisation.
A 52-year-old security staff member on duty lodged a complaint at the Dighi Police Station, based on which a case was registered against the youth.
Police said the act posed a serious threat to security and public safety. Further investigation into the case is underway.
