City to witness ‘Krishna – The Poorna Purush’ through different Indian Classical Dance forms

Pune, October 15 : Lord Krishna is one of the most worshiped gods from Indian Mythology, who is loved in his varied forms. We adore the child Krishna, we admire him in his young form and we worship this Jagadguru from Mahabharata for teaching us a practical way of life. Punekars now have a chance to witness all these forms of Krishna through an upcoming dance program titled as ‘Krishna – The Poorna Purush’. The program will be held at 6.00pm on Wednesday, 21st October at Annabhau Sathe Auditorium, Padmavati, Pune. Entry is free for all on first come first serve basis. Few seats will be reserved only for invitees.

Brain child of Guru Smt.Shama Bhate, this program is supported by Indian Council for Culture Relations and presented under Horizon series. This stage performance will feature three different aspects of Lord Krishna’s persona through Mohiniattam, Kathak and Bharatnatyam. Krishna the eternal  lover will be presented by disciples of Smt. Gopika Varma in Mohiniattam, Krishna the liberator in kathak presented by Naadroop ensemble choreographed by Smt. Shama Bhate and Krishana the philosopher conceptualized by Sucheta Chapekar and choreographed and presented by Arundhati Patwardhan and Kalavardhini Sankul.
